Reson E. WAGONER died at his home in the Mckendree neighborhood, Tuesday,
June 22, 1915. He was born in Simpson County, Kentucky, October 25.1838 and removed to this locality in 1850.
Ten years later Mr. WAGONER was married to Miss Lucinda COBB, a sister to
Rev. T. M. COBB of Lexington, Mrs. Mary WORLEY, Mrs. W.F. WAGONER and Mrs. Will BARNETT of this Community. His wife and two sons and two daughters survive. For many years Mr. WAGONER had been a member of the Southern Methodist church and was a much respected citizen. The funeral was preached Wednesday at Mckendree church by Rev. Tom COBB and the and the interment was in the Cobb grave-yard.

Obituary from Odessa Democrat June 25, 1915; Missouri


Mrs. W. E. Wainscott died at her home in the city Thursday night at 2 a.m. of consumption aged about 62 years...The deceased was a member of the Methodist Church. A son had died about two years and a daughter about a year before, and with the death of his wife the husband is left alone.

His many friends in this city will be saddened at the news of the death of MR. W. Watts, which occurred at Richmond Wednesday of last week. Mr. Watts was for several years manager of (illegible]; his poor health forced him to retire from the business. During his residence in Franklin he had many warm friends, and established himself in the esteem of all who knew him. The cause of his death was Bright's disease. His remains were burled in the cemetery at Richmond.  He was a member of the Christian church...

Mrs Henrietta Whitesides, 78, died at her home at 38th St and George Ave.  She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs J Kinsley, 2712 N 38th St, Mrs C L O’Neal Trinidad, Colorado, Mrs E E Coffey, Pineville, Mo: two sons, H P Whitesides, Beaumont Cal: E J Whitesides, Idaho Falls, Idaho, 4 brothers, K Smith, William Smith, Asher Smith, all of Franklin, Ky, Clay Smith, Hickory Flat, Ky one sister, Kate Horne, Hickory Flat, Ky 23 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Burial will be at Pineville, Mo.

BROWNSVILLE — Edna Mae WHITE, 77, of Bowling Green died at 12:04 a.m. Nov. 7, 2002, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.  The Warren County native was a homemaker. She was a daughter of the late Will FORSCHEE and Oli HARRISON FORSCHEE and wife of the late Buddy WHITE.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home. Survivors include five daughters, Shirley EMBERTON of Bowling Green, Martha GROSS of Brownsville, Bonnie MEADORS and Carolyn BUNCH, both of Franklin, and Pamela RICHMOND of Richardsville; three sons, Leroy BUTLER and Terry BUTLER, both of Bowling Green, and Darrell BUTLER of Richardsville; a brother, Burr FORSCHEE of Bowling Green; 30 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Wims, 69, who died at the Carter Moore Community Hospital following a stroke of paralysis on February 16, 1948, were held at the Round Pond Church on Tuesday afternoon, February 17,1948, at 2:00 with the Rev. Frank Jernigan officiating. Burial was in the Round Pond Cemetery. Mr. Wims was a retired farmer and a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Nellie Perry Wims, six sons, Douglas Wims, Roy Wims, and Perry Wims of Franklin; Thomas WIMS of Nashville; Norman Wims, Louisville; Winford Wims, Mitchell Tenn; Two sisters, Mrs. Emma Wright, Nashville; and Mrs. Walter Phillips, Franklin; and two brothers; John WIMS, Nashville and Tom WIMS, Cross Plains, Tenn. Pallbearers were Denton Jones, Arthur Haner, Wilford Perdue, Ralph Perry, Fletcher Williams, Arch Hunt.

Bennie Douglas Wims, 82, of Franklin, died Monday, Dec. 2, 1991, at Medco Center of Franklin after a lengthy illness. Services were held at Crafton Funeral Home. Burial was in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Portland, Tenn.  A native of Robertson Co, he was a retired salesman and the son of the late Ben and Nellie Perry Wims.  Survivors include his wife, Virgie Perdue Wims of Franklin; one son, Doug Wims of Franklin; one daughter, Judy HAYS of Franklin; four brothers, Roy, Perry, Thomas and Norman Wims.

Mrs. Nellie Perry Wims, 95, of Franklin, died Nov. 27, 1984 at the Medco Center of Franklin after a long illness. Services were held Nov. 29 at Booker Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Deweese officiating. Burial was at the Round Pond Cemetery. A native of Simpson Co, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Hannah Parrish Perry. Survivors include six sons, Douglas, Roy, Winford and Perry Wims, all of Franklin; Thomas Wims of Nashville Tenn. and Norman Wims of Louisville.

Norman Wilson Wims, 77, of Louisville, died Friday, April 10, 1992, in Louisville after a brief illness.  Services were held April 13 at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home in Louisville.  Burial was in Louisville.  A native of Robertson Co, TN, he was the son of the late Ben and Nellie Perry Wims.  Survivors include his wife Evelyn Perdue Wims of Louisville; one daughter, Lois Pearl Hardin of Louisville; three brothers, Roy, Perry and Thomas Wims.

Perry Wims, 72, of Franklin died Dec. 6, 1996, at his residence after a lengthy illness.  Funeral Services were held Dec. 8 at Crafton Funeral Home. Brother James Martin Cook and Brother W. L. Meador officiated. Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery.  Wims was a retired employee of the U.C./Goldenrod Milk Company and a WWII Navy Veteran.  He was a Sumner Co, Tenn., native and the son of the late Ben and Nellie PERRY WIMS.  He was a member of the State Line General Baptist Church.  Survivors include his wife, Mildred JONES Wims of Franklin; two sons, Larry Wims of Portland, Tenn., and Randy Wims of Martinsville Ind.; three daughters, Pat FREAS, Nancy TURNEY and Beth DALLAS, all of Franklin; one brother, Tom WIMS of Nashville.

Roy G. Wims, 76, of Franklin, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1993 at the Franklin-Simpson Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.  Services were held Sept. 26 at Crafton Funeral Home with the Rev. Winston Roberts Officiating.  Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery.  A native of Simpson Co, he was retired from Hunt's Market and Jerry's Market. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and the son of the late Ben and Nell PERRY WIMS.  Survivors include his wife, Elberta MEADOR Wims, one son, Jerry Wims of Franklin; one Daughter, Sue Cassetty of Franklin; two brothers, Thomas and Perry Wims.

Mrs. Florrie K. Witt, widow of Mr. C. E. Witt died at the Southern Sanatorium in this place Monday evening from typhoid fever. She had been ill for several days prior to her death. A little more than a year ago she was united in marriage with Mr. C. E. Witt, who besides her mother and sister and brothers survive her. Funeral services were conducted from the home of her mother, Mrs. Boren, on South Main Street by Revs. T. V. Joiner and W. W. Payne at three o’clock Tuesday afternoon after which burial followed in Green Lawn cemetery... AND, Card of Thanks. We desire to return our sincere thanks to the friends and neighbors for their manifold kindness during the recent fatal illness of our beloved daughter, Mrs. Florrie K. Witt. Mr. Thomas Woodall, who resides just across the State line in Tennessee, about eight miles from Franklin on the Cross Plains road, is critically ill at his home from a dose of morphine taken last Sunday afternoon with suicidal intent. It is said that Mr. Woodall has been mentally unbalanced for some time and that a close watch has been kept on him lest he might destroy himself. Mr. Woodall is an old Confederate soldier and one of the best-known men in this section. He belongs to the D. C. Walker camp of U. C. V., and is one of its most universally beloved and esteemed members. LATER: Since the above was written, Mr. Woodall has passed away. He died yesterday morning. As stated above Mr. Woodall was a greatly beloved man and a representative citizen. His unfortunate ending is sincerely lamented by a host of friends.
